Foundation Stage Unit Information

Withington Foundation Stage Unit is a small, friendly setting, integrated within the primary school, participating in school activities such as collective worship, assemblies, sports day as well as school plays at Christmas and in the summer. 

We are open to children from 2 years old and operate term time only.  We accept the Government Funding for 15/30 hours.  Our opening hours are:

Monday 8am - 4.00pm

Tuesday 8am - 4.00pm

Wednesday 8am  - 4.00pm

Thursday 8am - 4.00pm

Friday 8am - 3.15pm

Throughout the day foundation stage unit children learn through play inside, in our specifically designed outdoor area and our spacious playground.  

Mathematics and phonics sessions are carried out daily providing more focused learning opportunities for each individual child. 

Our children enjoy a range of weekly and season appropriate activities. 

We make the most of our beautiful surroundings and local amenities.  In the past these have been to places such as Birdland Park, when we were learning about dinosaurs and an invertebrate experience when exploring bugs.
