BusyBees' Class Blog
As a whole school we took part in a Science activity celebrating Science Week 2021. As part of NASA landing a rover on Mars, we thought we would create rocket Mice.
The children had lots of fun making their christingles yesterday morning. Christingle celebrations are named after the Christingles that are lit during the ceremony. Christingles are oranges wrapped in red tape, decorated with sweets, with a candle on the top. Each element of a Christingle has a special meaning and helps to tell the Christian story.
In our RE lessons with Mrs Beames, we have been looking at The Trinity and as part of this we looked at what a baptism means and involves. Mrs Beames arranged with Reverend Colin for us to go to Church and participate in a teddy bear baptism.
In our Science lesson today, we looked to see the results of the plant fair test we conducted last week. Year 3 added minerals to plants to see which one grew best and Year 2 tested to see how light affected plant growth. The results were not what we expected and allowed a good scientific discussion on why the results were different.
Busy Bees have been enjoying looking at History Makers. We made a timeline of famous women and ranked them according to our thoughts on their impact on society.
