School Games Network

We currently hold a Bronze kitemark for the Sainsbury’s School Games Network, which is renewed annually. Click for more information on the School Games Network.

Visit from Swindon Wildcats
Last term the children learnt to play ice hockey (without the ice!) at Withington Jubilee Village Hall. In December they had a visit from some of the Swindon Wildcats to deliver a special ice hockey session. During the session they talked to us about the Wildcats, posed for photos and refereed a couple of ‘ice hockey’ matches.

“The school was absolutely lovely, the children were so well behaved and enthusiastic,” said Sam Bullas from the Wildcats “They made the assembly and street hockey session easy! It is a school we will definitely be visiting again.”

Swimming Lessons

The whole school are taking swimming lessons. We go by coach to Brockworth Swimming Pool after school every Friday. We are all really enjoying learning to swim well.

Other Sports

In the Autumn Term we all went to Foxcote Riding Stables for riding lessons after school. We also went to the Climbing Wall in Gloucester for some exciting session learning how to climb. We have weekly PE and Dance Classes in the Village Hall, go on wellie walks and hold an annual sports day.
